My sister gave me A LOT of makeovers when I was a teenager.  I begged her to keep it natural looking, but it was the 80's after all and for someone who never wore make-up it was quite a drastic change.  She always had a before-her-time-artistic-soul and for as long as I can remember dreamed of becoming a make-up artist. She just recently followed this dream and has even launched her own make-up line.

This past Christmas after unwrapping gifts she did everyone's make-up... including mine. Having flashbacks of neon eyeshadow and blue eyeliner I sat obediently in the chair. Again I asked for a natural look, and you know what, I got it. I looked pretty...darn...amazing along with everyone else!!!   Natural to dramatic she does it all! These delightful young ladies belong to my old friend Al from high school. It had been almost twenty years since we had seen each other, both now with two daughters, both naming our first "Libby".  It's a bit of a head trip to see your old friends, once silly teenagers, but now grown up and dads. We has such a fun session in Ft Worth this spring when the sun was warn, while there was still a bit of left over ice on the ground.

Have you noticed my fabulous new logo? Al, interesting enough, works as a medical illustrator. We collaborated our brains and came up with exactly what I didn't know I wanted. Love it!

I took two weeks off last month to venture out with my visiting friends from Germany. The guys came from Bar25 in Berlin to cook for the Wunderbar luncheon at Parkside restaurant in Austin to promote German music during SXSW. Dorothea came to hangout with ME. After peeling our fair share of potatoes and helping pass out Schmalzbrot (Thank you Greg for taking this photo of us in our Dirndls!) we set out to find some adventure on our own.
